Andhra Pradesh: 13th November 2007, Hyderabad

In a media release of the report “Ensuring Universal Access to Health and Education in India”, children from Tribal and Dalit communities sent a strong message to the government to increase the public expenditure on education and health. A delegation will also present copy of the report to the Chief Minister.

Undergraduate students from across 34 colleges in Bhubaneshwar participated in a Mock Parliament to discuss on the status of Education and Health. The Speaker of the Orissa Legislative Assembly, Maheswar Mohanty released the report “Ensuring Universal Access to Health and Education in India”. A Fact Sheet on Health and Education and a copy of the report will also be presented to the Chief Minister.
