Report of the 2nd Civil Society Review of the NCMP, May 2006
This report puts together the evaluation of the National Common Minimum Program from the perspective of the poor and marginalized, and discussed as part of the 2nd Civil Society Review of the NCMP held on 23-24 May 2006
It includes reviews on how the NCMP has fared against the promises made by the government in relation to Education, Health, Livelihood, Peace & Security, Dalits, Adivasis, Women and the Social Sector Budget. It also outlines 10 Policy Demands that emerged from the Review as the key promises that the government should be held accountable towards to End Poverty & Social Exclusion. The full text of the NCMP and highlights of the United Progressive Alliance government’s own evaluation of their performance in two years are also included in this report.
