Since 2005, Wada Na Todo Abhiyan has brought together thousands of civil society voices to independently review the Union Government’s performance, assessing its delivery on electoral promises and Constitutional mandates, especially in relation to India’s most marginalised communities.

 

Promises & Reality is our flagship annual report, produced collaboratively by civil society experts, practitioners, academics, and people’s campaigns. Voluntarily authored and uncompromising in its independence, each edition tracks the government’s actions across key sectors and themes
of democracy, governance, development and inclusion.

 

This report is both a record and a reminder: that public participation, critical dialogue, and accountable governance are not just desirable,
they are essential for democracy.
